Winter Trees

This is 6" x 36". A fun shape to work with. It is getting cooler here, so it is easy to think of the winter coming. Hoping the kids don't get sick.

Expecting Hope

36" x 36"
Acrylic on Canvas
The title is a little redundant, but I am always eternally hopeful. My nature is to always be hopeful in any situation. I think it's better than the alternative. This painting just went to a new gallery for me, The District Gallery, in Park City. I had a wonderful morning with my dad visiting the gallery and out for lunch. Great rainy day for soup!

New Studio

Got to hit Ikea this week and redo the studio. It has a lot of great light and everything I need at my fingertips. Now working my way through a recent shipment of canvas from Utrecht. Finished paintings get stored in a different spot, so I can stay as clutter free as an artist can.

Cabin

I had a friend loan my family her cabin for a couple of days and I was able to paint six little 12" x 12" paintings out on the deck while the kids looked for critters and got nice and dirty. The mountains were beautiful and we even saw a moose.

"New Trees"

I have posted this painting before, but I am excited to have it accepted into an international competition in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in September called artprize. Anyone can vote starting September 23 and the cash awards are crazy!!

Convergent Boundaries

48" x 48" Acrylic on canvas
I wanted a title with something about the earth's layers, but a little more intersting. I had to ask my geologist husband for some ideas. I think this works for what I had in mind.
